Works on Paper
These works on paper continue my pursuit of converging opposing elements in order to activate a space.  I make bold shapes and set them against intricate needle work to create an alternative painting in space. What I discovered when making these, was that the reverse side was as interesting as the front and provided a secondary piece formed purely from random markings.

These are made using synthetic polymer and thread on paper.  I make hundreds of tiny knots stitched into the paper to create a minute sculptured surface that pushes the limits of the paper.  The reverse side reveals a line drawing made from thread and paper puncture wounds.
