Silk, as a sculptural material, contains as many intrinsic possibilities as it does challenges.  Ethereal in nature, it remains the optimal device to invoke characteristics of a facade, veneer and the superficial.  Unaided by chemicals or structural supports, the silk challenges my abilities to create sculptured form.  Ultimately, these objects that are not quite there, call into question the motives behind the activities they allude to.
